Thursday Thirteen – Movie Quiz

Ok – I love movies too much to pick just 13. So here are the first 13 and a clue they are A-C. Leave your guesses in the comments – no cheating by searching google!

Zippy and Mum are on a roll!  I’ve added some hints

1. “To be on the wire is life. The rest is waiting.” All that Jazz ~Zippy

2. “Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?” Becket ~Kate

3. “Well, actually, Janine is Senior Drive-thru Manager so you are on her turf.” American Beauty ~Erin

4. “The thing is, a person’s life is like a TV show. I was the star of The Will Show. And The Will Show wasn’t an ensemble drama.” About a Boy ~Zippy

5. “Don’t tug on that, you never know what it might be attached to.”  The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai ~Zippy

6. “What are you doing? Memorizing me by heart?”  A Little Princess ~KC

7. “Three dimes, a hundred dollar bill and 87 ones.” Big ~Ghost

8. “Do you no good to go poking around under rocks, Justin. Some very nasty things live under rocks, especially in foreign gardens”  Directed by the same person who directed #10… he is from South America

9. “Aww. The bounce has gone from his bungee.”  Wallace and Grommet, Curse of the Ware Rabbit ~Zippy

10. “It was like a message from God: “Honesty doesn’t pay, sucker.” See #8

11. “Welcome back Jack, to the house of addiction.”  Stars someone who almost was the new James Bond

12. “My life’s work has been to prompt others and be forgotten.” Cyrano DeBugerac ~Zippy

13. “Ah, good morning. Can I interest you in some nipples of Venus?”  Chocolat ~Zippy

I’ll have more next week – good luck!

Celebrate Poetry Month

If You Forget Me

I want you to know
one thing.
You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.
If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

    #13 is not Amadeus
