  1. *sigh* Mom wants us to ask what the name of that rose is…we just know she’s going to want to dig holes and plant one.

  5. Hey, we had a praying manits friend on our rose of sharon this year. He was very good at eating flies and beetles that tried to snack on our flowers. Maybe I’ll see if Emma wants to post it on her blog.

  11. Aaaaahhhhhhh! The rose is beautiful, but I am very scairt of the praying mantis. Because he looks like an alien.

  13. I was worried about her! I know after the nights had begun to get cold it was almost too much for poor Mrs. Mantis. One day my mom was watering some outdoor plants, didn’t even see the almost frozen Mrs. Mantis and practically drowned her! Oh, it was awful! But Mom put her in the sun and she got all dry and lively…and now she’s found her way to some place warmer and to visit you! How sweet! Thanks letting me know!

Hey–here’s a joke she told me:
Why do lady preying mantises bite the heads off their husbands?
TO STOP THE SNORING BEFORE IT STARTS!

    Ha ha ha ha!
