Rest Buddy

Buddy1

But in some canine paradise
Your wraith, I know, rebukes the moon,
And quarters every plain and hill,
Seeking his master… As for me,
This prayer at least the gods fulfill;
That when I pass the flood and see
Old Charon by the Stygian coast
Take toll of all the shades who land,
Your little, faithful, barking ghost
May leap to lick my phantom hand.
~St. John Welles Lucas

There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness,
    but of power.
    They speak more eloquently
    than 10,000 tongues.
    They are the messengers
    of overwhelming grief,
    of deep contrition,
    and of unspeakable love.

  6. Your poems are beautiful and always so perfect for the moment. We wanted to tell you we nominated you for the schmooze award, if you have already been, please let us know. Mom was on vacation the week before last so we missed a lot of our friends posts.
