oh and DKM – her food, crochet, knitting and stuff

You may notice our pictures now have a watermark. Our preference is to not have to resort to this; However, people have been stealing our images and using them on their websites for commercial purposes and digital encryption is just too expensive.

  1. ARe you serious? That is just wrong. A watermark is good though. I know a lot of artist use those on their websites too to protect from theft of their images. ~Jane

    Stealing for commercial purposes?
I don’t mind if people take pics from my blogs for their blogs, but NOT for commercial purposes.
So, as an amateur photographer myself – how do you put a watermark on your pics?
You are a great photographer, by the way — you always take such great shots of flowers & veggies & meals & of course the Diva Kitty and the buns, too!

  6. Yes, we would like to know how to put watermarks on our pictures, too. It’s so sad we have to do those things because people are so lazy and can’t make there own pictures!! Your pictures are great and Mom can only hope to do that well some day!!

  8. I’m with Mo, I don’t mind other bloggers using my pictures but it would upset me also if used for commercial purposes, even though some of my photos aren’t all that swift. That’s really nervy of whomever stealing other peoples pictures.
