The good and the bad
One of the amazing outcomes of blogging for so long is becoming friends with so many across the globe. One of the heart wrenching realities is that over time – longtime friends must leave us. We say goodbye to Parker tonight. Rest little girl.
“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love.”
~ Washington Irving
Rest in peace Edsel’s mom
One of our very long-time friends has passed. Edsel’s mom, Sue, passed away from brain cancer. Our hearts are sad and the tears are flowing tonight.
She walks in beauty
We say farewell to sweet Patches – one of our long time friends.
SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that ‘s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow’d to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair’d the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
~Byron
Imagine and remember
Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
~ Lennon
Farewell Beezer
I remember the story of how Beezer met his mom at the “Home For The Holidays” window display at the Macy’s store in Union Square. Ever since I read that story, I think of Beezer and him mum as I walk by Macy’s windows.
Beezer – I will remember you in my heart every day as I take my walk by those windows. ~DKM
In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here
Hop free little Hans
With sad heart we say good-bye to our little friend Hans.

Beyond the door
There’s peace I’m sure.
And I know there’ll be no more…
Tears in heaven
Georgia on my mind
We’ll miss you sweet Georgia – Bonnie we’re keeping you in our thoughts.
Visit here to celebrate Georgia

We love this picture of a Georgia sandwich.
Georgia, Georgia,
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind
I’m say Georgia
Georgia
A song of you
Comes as sweet and clear
As moonlight through the pines
Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you
I said Georgia,
Ooh Georgia, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind
Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you
Georgia,
Georgia,
No peace, no peace I find
Just this old, sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind
I said just an old sweet song,
Keeps Georgia on my mind
