28 04 2007It’s very rare for Fiona to do a flop in front of me but she was so tired after running about and I was stealth enough with the camera that I caught her snoozing under my desk. Yes, she does sleep with her eyes open, a lot of buns do this.
The other thing I find interesting about this picture is how much her grey undercoat shows. Normally, you just see her brown topcoat with a hint of her grey fur. Since she is part mini-rex, she has a plush undercoat. You can also see a couple of her spots, which are normally not visible - her other half is English Spot.

I didn’t know rabbits slept with their eyes open. We had a purebred mini rex until he just died recently. My daughter wants another one now. Seeing yours made me kind of sad but I think it’s getting time to get another one, too.
