I was going through old files and found this photo of my Himalayan, Charlie. He was such a love along with his sister. The breeder didn’t want him because his face was not smushed enough. He lived a good long life.
He was a gorgeous cat! My mom prefers Himalayans without the smushed faces. It’s one of the reasons she doesn’t like show Persians or Himmys - she thinks they look so sad and unhappy with those squashed faces.
How do you breathe with a smushed face? We think he looked wonderful the way he was. Then again, we were born in a garage. We don’t know nuthin about no showcats.
Lovely cat doin one of my favorite fings - BAG!!! Purrsonally, I fink the smooshed faces look weird. I was left on the doorstep of a humane society, so no breeder or papers fur me. Bonnie’s momma was a former barn cat an she nefur new her dad.
Oh, PS, I don’t tickle Bonnie’s toes if I know what’s good fur me, but you might see somefing amazin in our newest pictors… we’ll blog it later this week but today we have… Meezer Monday!
awww - how beautiful! our Lady has a special fondness for Himalayans. her Grammy had one named Bitsy (not a flat face either, and probably a mix with another breed). anyway, our Lady was obsessed with Bitsy when she was a little girl and would follow her all around the house.
Charlie was very beautiful. I’m glad that he had a nice long life.
My Spooker was dropped off in a shoe box at the animal shelter, and the workers there said she was probably dropped off by a breeder because she was a runt. She’s NOT a runt now! (for the first six years or so of her life, she was small, but then filled out)
Thanks for sharing this picture of Charlie!

Oh, Charlie was very beautiful!
Ahhhhwwww, he looks like a sweetheart.
Breeders said that? They can kiss our littly furry butts! We thinks she’s beautiful!
He is very handsome cat indeed! I prefer cats without the smushed face. Garlic is a himalayan mixed, without the smushed face, just how I love it.
He was awfully nice looking. I mean, I know a himalayan is supposed to have a smooshy face, but he just looks nice.
What a beautiful loving soul. You were blessed to be graced by his presence.
What a gorgeous handsome boy.
Such pretty eyes. He looks very soft & gentle.
